Those who think it’s not fair to ask about a $35,000+ commitment over four years are “have nots”. Don’t care how deep Dads pockets are and that it may be easy for some to say yes, but if you think not knowing is good practice, you’re not likely to have it for long! At worst, this is an odd place to ask. Unfortunately, I also know that there are way too many kids doing this on loans and debt. They should ask not only “how much”, but also “does this make sense for me”.
