Are you single? Have your kids gone off on their own? Do you not have a job you love? Why not do it? You get paid decently, you get a place to live included, and if you love people it's arguably a good job for someone. Our house mom is a divorced housewife and her kids are out of the house. She's even taking classes on campus, and has studied with a few of us. The only thing I think would be awkward is that I know she is seeing someone, but he obviously isn't coming over to hang out at her place.
