Alpha Chi, Phi Mu, and Alpha Gam select for lots of qualities like involvement, honors, grades, leadership, and classy presentation (which is different from hot looks-wise). That is why they are on the OP's list of most selective, because they are. There are lots of pretty PNMs who amazingly accomplished, and those qualities translate into campus honors and titles while they are in school. Zeta's selectivity for mostly the hotness factor doesn't seem to translate into much (honors or titles) after rush except approval by frat guys.
