Oh my god this is so spot on for my experience too. And it straight up SUCKS, especially when you constantly see how exciting and great bid day can be when you feel like you fit in perfect and can't wait to meet your new sisters. My memory of bid day is: opening up a bid to a house that everyone was saying all week was a "loser house" and saying they were ~sooo annoyed~ to be invited back each time. Trying not to cry that I didn't get my first choice that I loved because I didn't want to come off as rude or ungrateful at my new house. The worst part was feeling like you just went through this insanely emotional and stressful week and you don't even get the final prize most girls get of opening their bid and being so excited that they found the perfect house for them. When girls say rude things all week about the house you got it's hard to be hype, even if you're willing to give it a chance. "Tent talk" is unfair to the actives putting in so much work to get PNMs to like them, and unfair to the girls who may have vibed with the house but now feel like they're a "loser" if they join.
