If you receive a bid from a house that you do not think will be a good fit for you, please consider that in a group of 400, you will most likely, eventually, meet girls that you do have lots in common with if you fully participate in your house meals, meetings, and events. Also, as mentioned, all houses will provide a variety of entertaining events, which could be a lot more than those offered to independents. So I encourage all to give the houses that offers you a bid a chance, regardless of your initial presumed fit. What is the alternate scenario? That you would fit in better with a different group of 400? PNMs, to put this in perspective, consider that your HS class is probably close in size to Bama sororitys size. Most of you went to the HS you got and made friends within your HS. During your HS freshman year, were you worried about which HS you attended, or were you focused on trying to make friends and feel comfortable in the HS you were actually attending. You should apply the same mindset to the one house you are invited to join. Keep in mind, in the end, houses choose you. No matter how much you want a house, if you are not high enough on their bid list, your choice is second to the sororitys list. It is not personal, houses may love you, but can only take so many members. Sadly, every house has to cut outstanding women. With this understanding, PNMs, know you will have your best recruitment experience if you go into it with the mindset to be open to every house, and ready to try to find a place in any house that gives you a bid. If you foolishly tell yourself that only specific houses can give you a fulfilling sorority experience, then you are setting yourself up for an unhappy and untrue recruitment and sorority experience. PNMs, you need to recognize that the house that gives you a bid is the house that wants you the most and offers you a group of 400 people that want to befriend you the most. That is what we mean by "trust the process" , in the end, you get a bid from the one house that wanted you the most. Do not tell yourself that you will have a better experience in a house that cut you, instead, focus on developing am awesome experience in the house that specifically wants you above all the women they had to cut. Doesn't that sound like the best opportunity for you? Focus on making the most of that opportunity by enjoying all the experiences every house offers and on finding the women withinthe diverse 400 members that will become your friends. You can find your fit in any house and you can love any house.
