Okay so here's the thing. There are 2,000+ girls that go through rush. You will see all types of dresses. You'll see girls wearing dresses that stop you dead in your tracks because their outfits are so cute. And you'll see girls wearing dresses that make you question their sanity. That being said, the best advice I can give you is to: 1. Follow the Greek Chic as closely as possible. This walk-through guide is curated by active sorority girls, not middle aged alum, who have your best interest at heart and know what's what. The Greek Chic very clearly states what you should and shouldn't wear each day. Google "Greek chic 2018" and it should be the first link if you haven't already seen it. 2. Wear what reflects your personal style and character. Follow the advice from the Greek Chic but put your spin on it. As I said earlier, you'll see girls in all types of outfits throughout rush. So you really can't go wrong with let's say wearing a bold color or fun pattern. If you follow the general dress code, there's little you could do that will make you look out of place... So if you want to wear bright colors, do it. And if you want to wear patterns that's more than fine too. Also, rush isn't really "fancy." I think a better word to describe it is formal. It's formal yet fun. You should be dressed modestly but that doesn't mean you need to be in a stiff mid-length dress all week. You can be just as formal in a cute sundress and some heels. It really comes down to the cuts of the dresses (neckline and hemline) that determines formality.
