In my house, we had certain rules as pledges regarding our appearance for class. Some of which included: no wet hair, no sweatpants, and no high school apparel. My house never enforced a 2/3 rule or any rule in general regarding makeup or hair. However, they did expect us to look presentable. They didn't want us to walk around looking like a slob while wearing letters because, like others mentioned above, that's how reputations begin. To you PNMs, I think the idea of looking decent for class is more understandable once you're actually in a sorority. When you're in a sorority it's like your baby. You want it to succeed and you want it to be seen as highly in everyone else's eyes just as you see. And when you wear your letters you're proud and you don't see it as a hassle to look presentable when you're repping your letters.
