sororities want us to look decent for class because we don't want members who look like they just came to class from shacking representing us around campus. if members of ABC house are walking around campus with x's on their hands and beer in their hair from beer showers the night before then people talk and that's how reputations are developed. ideally, everyone wants to look good for class... you never know who you're going to meet. but realistically, we can't always spend 2 hours getting ready for class. sororities don't expect that. but they do expect you to look somewhat presentable.
