Depends on who you speak to in terms of "elitism." Some people believe being a part of the Greek system in general makes you elite, some people believe that being a part of a select few sororities and fraternities within the Greek system make you elite, while others believe being a part of the Greek system makes you no better than anyone else. At Bama you'll meet Old Row Greeks who think they're better than everyone else in the Greek system, you'll meet other Greeks that think they're better than GDIs in general, you'll meet GDIs who think they're better than Greeks, etc. Being a part of a sorority, for me at least, is more than just partying. If you can't understand that then that's fine. As the saying goes, from the outside looking in you can't understand it, from the inside looking out you can't explain it.
