Mallet is a dorm. Used to be all male but now it's co-ed. Generally nerds, geeks, people who dress up as Harry Potter characters, get deep into Dungeons and Dragons etc etc. I have no idea if they select members/residents or what. SDT has survived because their national gave them leeway, as mentioned above, to do their own thing. The cost of maintaining a house was a big part of it. They used to be in the Alpha Phi house, and in fact owned it until Alpha Phi bought it just a couple of years ago. This year, they have one of the university-owned houses over on new fraternity row. Personally, I hope they eventually come back over to sorority row.
