UT has a very strong greek system and greek life is big at all the big Texas schools. There is PKT, which refers to PBP, KKG and KAT. These are generally considered the top three houses. There is also the Big Six, which takes PKT and then adds ZTA, DDD and XO. All of these houses have active alum chapters across Texas and are a thing. I think we have seen some pattern where the Bama houses that are Big 6 tend to do a little better with good Texas PNMs than some other houses. Like PBP normally would not cross rush with KD, but if we are talking about a Dallas pnm that is sought after and she goes to pref with say PBP, KD and KAT (because she just could not ever put them last because they are, after all, part of PKT) -- almost every time she will put PBP first because PBP is top of new row at Bama (so respectable in TX) and also is Big Six/PKT in TX. So I think it matters a little but only at the very end.
