Lol if you're from old money then you'd know and honestly you wouldn't be coming to a school like Alabama. I'm from the Northeast and it's funny to see kids here talk about "old money" when really they're just upper middle class. Money doesn't matter. Does it play a role in rush? Not necessarily... Houses just want to see that you have money to be able to pay dues and other sorority expenses. And in your case, it seems like you're fine.
