The general rule is no black on pref because the actives will be wearing it. If you don't have anything else to wear then I wouldn't personally cut you, but someone might. You might get lucky. But what absolutely not to do is exclusively wear the colors of one house if you have 2 or 3 houses on pref. So if you're in love with Pi Phi, don't go around in a turquoise dress and ruby earrings. Same with pink and pearls if you have Phi Mu, yellow dress and turquoise necklace with DDD, etc. It might be accidental, but I've seen some really desperate girls do some weird things.
