I mean, to a certain extent you're right, but the system definitely values the wealthy. Getting the "look" of a top tier sorority girl is NOT cheap whether it's clothing or makeup or whatever else. So I'd say the millionaire from out of state who can afford to look perfect is at an advantage compared to the in-state girl who is friendly but gets cut from a sorority because she worked all summer instead of going on vacation.
