You should be taking summer classes to improve you gpa in general for your future. I understand Greek life is important but you should look at the bigger picture. They may give you some credit for recognizing your gpa is lacking and trying to fix it. If you end with a 3.0 you should be fine a few summer classes won't bring you to a 3.5 anyway. Many freshman have a rough first semester trying to get used to college. I am sure you are not alone in this.
