It honestly shouldn't be a big deal at all, it's not like you have to bring up your age during rush and if anything you can just use your gap year as a cool experience/conversation topic. I will say it's a little different as an older pnm (I was a sophomore when I rushed, and one of the only sophomores in my PC) but since you will still technically be a freshman you might not even notice the age difference. I felt a little disconnected from the girls in my PC at first since I had already been through freshman year and wasn't living in the dorms anymore, but this might not even be an issue for you!
