Just to show how Alabama bears little resemblance to national strength, the top national sororities are generally considered to be Kappa, Pi Phi, Chi O, DG, and Tri-Delt. The next national tier is Zeta, Theta, Gamma Phi and Alpha Phi. Probably AXO and KD, too. Then there is a BIG national gap to the middle tier sororities. The top tier national sororities include chapters that are considered top, upper-mid, mid, and lower-mid/bottom at Bama, while some of Bama's top and upper-mids are nowhere near the top nationally. My advice - pledge the house you feel the biggest and best connection to, and look around at Pref Night at the other PNM's lined up outside the houses with you as they could be your pledge class. The ranking - here or nationally - really is not as important as joining a house you want to be a part of during college.
