Yes, your rec writer for your grandma's house will include your legacy info on your form. I also don't think it would hurt if your mom/dad wrote an incredibly short letter to the house just saying "My deceased mother pledged XYZ sorority at the University of X in 19XX. I have such fond memories of mom's monthly lunches with her beloved pledge sisters! I just wanted to let you know that my daughter, Suzie PNM, is going through rush this fall as a legacy to XYZ. Suzie is looking forward to meeting the Alabama XYZ's!" It's not campaigning for you, but just making it known that you have a connection to the house and your deceased grandma obviously cannot inform them.
