Old Row refers to the OLDEST UA fraternities and where they were located. Newer fraternities were given land behind University Boulevard to build their houses on, hince NEW ROW. They are newer houses and therefore less prestigious than the older fraternities. There are NO OLD ROW sororities. YES, some sororities were asked to sponsor an "OLD ROW" party and they paid to participate. This does not mean they are OLD ROW sororities, they just participated in a party. NOW, there are "FIRST CIRCLE" sororities and they are KD, DDD, and AGD. They were given this name because their houses were located on First Circle. Among those in the know, it makes these houses more prestigious.
