Subject:
Comprehensive Frat Rush Guide - Fall 2022

Poster Message:
Amidst all the ranking spams, it’s important to have a consensus guide of all the IFC houses, as well as the stratifications that exist. AS ALWAYS-rankings within tiers matter less than tiers themselves. TOP: (In this category, rank order is largely irrelevant; you’ll have all sorts of debates and arguments depending on who you talk to but realistically each of these frats mix with the same Core 4 [Aphi, DG, KKG, Theta] sororities. Lots of private school students with prior connections where pledge classes are largely decided before formal rush even starts. Hard pledging, big time commitments, and wild brothers make these houses the most similar to the typical “state school” experience.) Sig Chi AD DU Sig Phi UPPER: (Frats where most new, ambitious cold-rushes set their sights. Have a comprehensive fall/spring rush, and are well known for exclusivity, strong mixing schedule, nice houses and good brotherhoods. Slightly less “fratty” than upper houses, but still largely respected and their parties are considered the place to be.) Sig Pi DX Chi Psi UPPER-MID: (These houses are also widely respected and throw down hard, tend to take some people who didn’t get into upper/top frats. Their parties range from large opens to more exclusive mixers. The boundary between upper mid and upper frats can also be fluid throughout the year.) Lambda Chi Phi ZBT TDX C4 MID: (these houses throw down for the larger portion of the student body while still maintaining a level of exclusivity and solid mixing schedules. Won’t mix with top sororities but still have relations with a bunch of greek orgs, and plenty of students from higher frats/sororities will still find their way to the parties. (heavier pledging, more open/large mixers). The rank ordering of this category is pretty fluid and can often change throughout the semester, probably one of the most subjective categories.) Pike Phi Tau Pikapp LOWER MID - LOWER: These houses have limited mixing schedules/sorority relations and are generally considered not very exclusive. PSK new here since they fumbled a lot of things last sem. They’ll throw large opens pretty frequently, which is why you’ll hear most underclassmen discussing these houses, but don’t really have a solid social standing in the Greek system. Some are known for very strong brotherhoods; good houses if partying and girls are less your thing. SAE/SNu both refounded recently—ignore the self ranks placing them as top or even mid frats. Without at least a few years of throwing good parties, taking good PCs and building their name, they stay here.) PSK Ksig Fiji Llenroc AGR Phi Delt Rockledge DKE Sammy DTD SAE SNU Aepi Zeta Psi BOTTOM: Join these for brotherhood, but don’t expect any parties/girls here. KDR Alpha Zeta Beta Acacia
