Do not only rush top/upper houses. These will obviously be the most appealing options but most new guys vastly overestimate their chances. Especially in the spring, most if not all of their class will have been decided through dirty rush—essentially, you’d know if you were gonna get in, so if you have no prior connections I’d highly advise rushing other/additional houses. Sophomores rushing in the fall will vastly benefit from knowing people in houses/making connections during o week. Don’t suicide rush either; that is, have a group of houses you want to focus on, and have it narrowed down to 1-2 by mid week tops. If you only rush one house from the start, you’re setting yourself up for failure; even houses that invite you back consistently can cut you, and most frats require that you’ve been committing to their rush since the start of the week.
