Truth Below There is no such thing as rising or falling. In my 4 years at this school, no frat has risen. Everyone has mixed almost the same way. The only time houses "fall" is when the get kicked off, but that's pretty obvious. Every year people have a good, bad or average rush, but it has not once made a difference. A house might lose out on a mixer or two, but it has never mattered unless said house gets kicked off. I have seen houses grind this site by making ranks week after week that have them higher, but it has never affected mixing schedule. Petty jockeying for position by putting your house one above another means nothing. There are general groups based on who mixes with who. People in greek life know which houses are generally in what "groups". There will never be any useful drama on this site because you can pay to have posts taken down. I have seen numerous posts deleted over the years. (One example is the SA that happened around 2019-2020 where names were dropped, I have the page archived if anyone is curious). The posting that happens around rush time has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY worse since I came to Cornell. There were maybe 200-300 posts when I was a freshman, and now there are over 800. It always ramps up around rush, and the youngsters have gotten progressively more clout hungry. Traffic to this site is pretty low in reality. The only reason posts have high view counts is people replying to their comment on comment threads on posts with a lot of comments already. Each time you check the view count goes up. There have been multiple posts saying that they come here just to troll and stir up drama. There are very few unique people who post here in reality. You cannot be earnest on this site. No one will go out of their way to honestly speak positively about another frat. People either frame a house for drama or shill their own frat. I love watching a squid fest and this site never ceases to amaze me.
