is a strategy that chapters across the country use because a lot of really good girls drop from recruitment just because it's stressful or a big commitment, so when you're the only "top tier" chapter offering snap bids, it looks really good to those girls and you collect all the hot girls who otherwise would have finished recruitment in a top house. It's not publicized because it's really risky, but for most chapters' exec/recruitment boards and alumni associations they prefer to cut the "ehhh" girls and then get to hand pick from the girls who dropped than get stuck with "ehhh" girls. Also many chapters will encourage girls to "drop" form the process early, save their time, and then pick them up during snap bids. As northern as DDD is here, I honestly think that's what they're doing. Their alumni aren't as consistently active, so they come in hardcore during recruitment to make up for lost time, plus the girls are in the perfect situation to be manipulative of the pnms, to try to get them to drop.
