Basically getting a bid gets harder and harder as you move up in class ranking. This isn't always the case, but it's better if you know someone in the organization or have some sort of "pull" to get you in. First semester freshman have the highest odds when it comes to not knowing people within the organization and getting bids (because how many people can you know after being on campus for 1 week?) You can rush as a junior but do understand what you are getting yourself into. The odds are against you.
