Sororities at USC literally have no point besides a chance for girls to get letters and put themselves in a group apart from other girls. Think about it. - The average class in a sorority is 100+ girls... How are you supposed to get to know the names and backgrounds of 100 other people in a short amount of time? Sororities at USC are not "sisterhoods", they are ALL cliquey because they're huge. Smaller sororities at other shools are not like this. There is a reason fraternities don't take 100+ people, it would completely ruin any potential brotherhood aspect. - No hazing or pledging - How are you supposed to get to know your "sisters" if you aren't made to do things together as a pledge class? One "sisterhood retreat" doesn't count. - Sororities don't hold tailgates, and sorority functions suck - Almost everyone can agree on this. Fraternity functions are way more fun than sorority functions, I wonder why that is? Maybe it's because everyone in a fraternity actually knows each other and the girls come along for the ride? What is the point of sororities anyways? Sororities that are 300+ members can't possibly have a sisterhood. You'll have girls who are wearing THE EXACT SAME LETTERS walk past each other every day without even glancing at each other or saying "hello". You cannot possibly believe in a sisterhood when you have so many girls in the same sorority that literally don't even know each other besides adding one another on facebook.
