"I didn't feel a connection" is just the new excuse for "I'm a snob and didn't want to try because I perceive these houses to be beneath me". It takes time to develop a connection to your sorority. It's not always love at first sight and there's a huge comedown when regular sorority life sets in and it's not constant balloons and coordinated conversations. Maybe you just think you had good conversations because you had a good rusher. That's what good recruiters are supposed to make you feel like. Doesn't mean they felt the same about you. You should've given the houses you had left a chance.
