The degree of risk that national fraternities and sororities are exposed to has become far too costly to reasonably mitigate. That's why dues keep going up, more chapters are going dry, and pledge periods are shrinking down to the point of nonexistence. This trend will continue until Greeks can demonstrate and sustain reasonable social behavior. It's not about ruining your fun, it's about economics. Sad but true.
