Everyone has their own opinion and rankings are always subjective. Most of the controversy on this site seems to be about alpha phi or about who belongs in the top tier. These days it’s possible to argue that there are 7 top houses in my opinion (kappa, chi o, adpi, theta, phi mu, zeta, kd - in no order). People will each have their own reasons why they think certain houses are top or not but just because one house is on the rise doesn’t mean another top house automatically drops if it has the same quality girls it always has. That being said, there are houses that have moved up a lot in recent years so it’s tough to say top is exclusively old row. This is all a good thing though because I think it proves UGA greek life is a lot stronger than a ton of other schools that have only 3/4 top houses. The quality of our middle tier houses is just as good if not better than some top houses at other schools. “Bottom” houses here are either new and just establishing themselves or struggle during rush but that doesn’t mean they should be looked down upon or hated on by other members of the greek community. As for alpha phi let them have a few years on campus before you begin to judge or make assumptions about their chapter as a whole. Our greek system is strong so instead of arguing about who is classified as top or who belongs under/above who, why don’t we accept the fact that UGA is already at an advantage compared to so many other greek systems.
