I do not know who Chi O thinks they are but songfest this year has been absurd. My chapter has already voted, and we will not be participating next year and I know a lot of other houses aren't either. Basing scores of a PERFORMANCE on t-shirt sales, social media likes and crowd participation is ridiculous- it doesn't matter how well you perform, only how much of chi o's dirty work you do for them.I'm tired of doing your philanthropy work for you. If you want to publicize your event, share your own photo. WAIT... no, don't share it, because you changed the rules of the competition to only include likes after each house had already shared your photo THOUSANDS of times. If you want to change the rules, make a mental note and do it next year but not the day before the competition ends. Then you make us sell and wear tshirts with YOUR letters on it and if we don't sell enough there is literally no way we will place, regardless of how our performance is. Do you not take any pride in wearing your letters? Then, we get scored on "audience participation" aka chapter ticket sales, because you can't sell enough tickets on your own and need us to do it for you, so we all have to buy your stupid TWENTY DOLLAR TICKETS. And, your "Do Good" slogan is a Delta Gamma NATIONAL slogan! Can you seriously not think of ANYTHING else? As if flat out lying and oral bidding during recruitment hasn't ruined your chapter's reputation enough, this is the nail in the coffin for your philanthropy event.
