Generally I agree, however, having been a chapter President here who is in the room when the exact bid list is out in order, I would rather a girl SIP if she absolutely would not accept a bid and plans to drop if she gets that chapter. If she would have gotten a bid because we placed her high on the list, then her SIP’ing will allow 1 more PNM’s who actually does want to be in the chapter to get a bid. My usual advice is if you’re not totally sold on your #2 but willing to give it a try and be open minded, then don’t SIP.
