From my experience, I don’t think missing a few rec letters made a huge difference. I tried my best to secure some, but in the end I think I only got maybe 5? I barely had any connections going into recruitment, and my parents weren’t (and still aren’t) thrilled about Greek Life, so there wasn’t much help from my mom! Also, my local alumnae association was EXTREMELY unhelpful. However, I still ended up in one of my top houses during recruitment and made some awesome friends! I didn’t have a rec letter for the chapter I ended up in either. So, even though it’s important to have rec letters (to a certain extent), I really wouldn’t stress if your unable to secure some for a few chapters. Just do your best and enjoy your summer!
