I don’t think being one year older than other sophomores matters at all. Sophomores and juniors hang out. Most houses those are the years living in the house together. I’m a summer birthday so I’m over a year younger than some of the girls in my pledge class - it’s not something I ever think about. That said, gap year + community college is a really “non-traditional” pathway into a sorority. I think if you ended up in a situation where you didn’t feel like you connect with other girls it’s prob because you’ve had a little more life experience and might be more mature.
