If you think you won’t “fit in” to two sororities that each have 200-250 members, you need to take a hard look at yourself and why you’re rushing. We all know what your post means. You’re scared the houses that are known for being top rushing houses are going to cut you and you’re going to end up in what you’ve heard are bottom houses. What we hear as Greek women is that you think you’re too good to be in a sorority with 450+ of our Panehellenic sisters. You think you’re too good to wear their letters, share their rituals, enjoy their sisterhoods, live in their houses, go to their social events, etc. My advice to you is to get over yourself before rush starts. Rush humbles almost every PNM at some point. Decide why you want to be in a sorority - for what you perceive as “popularity” in your limited high school worldview? Or because you want to have deep sisterhood bonds, serve others and share experiences that will last through college & far beyond?
