No no no. Just stop. COB and snap bids are two entirely different things. Snap bid = when your chapter doesn’t MATCH TO QUOTA ON BID DAY. Only then are you allowed to offer snap bids. These are rare. Even if your chapter is below total but you match to quota, you cannot give out snap bids. COB = bids offered/spots filled when a chapter is below the chapter total set by Panhellenic. Panhellenic uses the MEDIAN, not the mean, which means half of the chapters will be below total once it is set. Some might only be down 1-2, others 30+. It will happen again in the spring when December graduates go alum. There will be no snap bids from now until bid day 2021, so please stop using the two terms intermittently.
