The only time a snap bid can be given is if a chapter does not match to primary quota during formal rush, then they can snap bid during the hours between bid match and bid day to get up to quota. You are asking about COB - continuous open bidding. That is for chapter who are below chapter total (a formula that is basically average or median chapter size). Basically the 6-7 smallest chapters will be eligible starting now and then again in the spring semester based on their #’s. If you are interested the best thing to do is to give your name and contAct info to the Greek Life office. They will share with eligible chapters. Based on the last few years’ GPA reports, these are the chapters who took spring pledge classes via COB: 2019 - ADPi (19), AOPi (6), XO (4), AXO (4) 2018 - ADPi (21), KAT (16), GPB (10), DZ (8), AXO (4), DDD (3) 2017 - AOPi (37), GPB (23), ADPi (12), DZ (9), AXO (5) Some of the chapters mentioned in comments above have not done Spring COB in recent years. And it is not true that all chapters give spring bids because of graduating seniors- the largest 6-7 chapters are not eligible to COB. As of Spring 2019 GPA report (Most current posted online), the chapter sizes were: 1. DDD - 290 2. ZTA - 289 3. XO - 286 4. KAT - 285 5. DG - 281 6. KKG - 276 7. AXO - 275 8. PBP - 273 9.
