100% agree with their decision. I do think that announcing it a week before pref was not the best for some of the girls, but all of the chapters were aware of this change by Theta and so legacy status shouldn't have mattered to them. Additionally, if you weren't planning on rushing your legacy then you have to let the other chapters know that (and that goes for anyone who is a legacy, not just Thetas). One of my best friends was a legacy for another chapter but still got a bid from Theta because she was vocal about her love for their sorority throughout all of rush. I understand that some girls might've been left high and dry because they came in with expectations, but as a whole, legacies are not owed anything and should be held to the same standards as every other PNM.
