No no. I see what you’re saying but the only time something like that comes into play is when you actually pref following preference day. For now, you have nothing to worry about. If they have you on their list of invites you’ll be invited back. However, for preference day, this is a little different. Everyone that makes it to pref round essentially gets an “invite back” to bid day in that they are all technically on the “bid list” but might not make the cutoff. So, if you love sorority A and don’t really like sorority B, on pref day, you should tell A that you are preffing them and tell B that you are preffing another sorority. So long as you don’t suicide and actually rank both A and B on your final pref list, you will end up with a house no matter what, even if it’s B. The reason this is, is because for pref, the sororities list every girl that goes to that round in the order that they want to give them a bid. So if you don’t tell sorority B that you don’t want them, and they rank you really high, but sorority A ranks you lower, you may end up with B even if you pref A. Whereas, if you tell sorority B that you want another sorority they’ll put you at the very bottom of their bid list and the odds that you match with sorority A, even if they rank you lowish, are much higher now. If you tell B you’re preffing another and then suicide and aren’t high enough on A’s list you won’t get either because you won’t be eligible to be a quota addition.
