I’m sorry your legacy cut you. That’s tough for you and your mom. But remember that you and your mom are different people and the chapter that fit her best 25+ years ago might not be the best fit for you. Some chapters just have so many legacies going through that they can’t possibly take them all and many sororities nationally are de-emphasizing legacies in order to make sure members are being chosen for more than just a family connection. The good news is that other chapters are interested in you & want to keep getting to know you better. If you put your legacy down on your registration form or think your rec writers shared your legacy info, then do let the chapters know you won’t be pledging your legacy and are More interested in their sisterhoods.
