A lot of girls have successful rushes without knowing any active members. But why would being new prevent you from getting recs? You can ask ANY sorority alumnae from any school to write your recs, they don't need to be from A&M alumnae. So if your granny was a Gamma Phi at Syracuse or your bff's mom was a Kappa at Texas Tech, they can both write your recs. Ask EVERY woman you know- teachers, coaches, neighbors, friends' moms and older sisters, your mom & grandma's friends, etc.
