Not exactly..... While it's true that if you maximize your options on Pref Night, you're guaranteed a bid...it's possible to not have any options to maximize if you're dropped completely. All chapters cut and all chapters have standards, even the new ones and the ones who struggle to make Quota. They all have GPA minimums to meet, they all cut girls with "questionable reputations" or girls who are flat-out B's to them during rush. It's honestly rude and destructive to tell a pnm that she would have to "work hard to get cut" because the reality is tha a few girls DO slip through the cracks every year. It's probably less than 20-30 who get released completely but does happen. And it typically happens like this: pnm has "perfect" rush for rounds 1 & 2 going to only top houses for sisterhood. Then, bam. She gets released by all the chapters because she only had the really competitive chapters left and wasn't high enough on any of their lists to get to Pref. OP, the chances of you getting a bid are extremely high as long as you're open to EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER, have recs to all, a good reputation/ clean social media, and good (not perfect, but good) grades. But no one can promise you a 100% chance you'll get a bid.
