it all depends on if you'll think you'd be able to balance the time commitment to your semester of pledgeship with your commitment to school... and im not gonna lie, engineering is pretty tough. but still i know there's plenty of engineering guys who rushed their fall semester freshman year and their grades were great. and dont worry, the adjustment to college freshman year is going to be tough for anyone, if you feel like you want to wait then its not big deal, lots of guys rush their sophomore year after getting fully adjusted to college
