Check out the Greek Life website for TCU for exactly what you need. The short answer is that yes REC letters are mandatory with such high competition. Also a solid resume a several natural and classic head shots are required. All of these things help introduce you to the houses before you arrive and with around 1000 girls it's important. Reach out to teachers, coaches, your parents friends and your local alumni associations for help getting folks lined up for REC letters. It can take some extra effort but will pay off in the end.
