I have IBS. It is no joke. I have had it since I was 12. You have no idea how much stress and anxiety I have about going to the bathroom. It is painful, scary, and sometimes humiliating. In school I was granted permission to use the adult single stall bathroom, because my situation can be so bad. Sometimes the ONLY was I can go is if I squat. Believe me, I wish it weren't the way it is, but it is. I don't tell many people about it, but squatting makes a very painful and scary situation just a little bit better. I know I am not alone. I wish we could talk more about it. I almost didn't go through recruitment because I was so nervous about it. Please show some empathy for those of us who want to go in peace and are a little different.
