Let's respond to the original question. Maybe at the end of the day about half of people who signed up don't get into a house (that seems really high though...but I dunno b/c i have never seen all the numbers). But that's not b/c they didn't match with anyone or get dropped by everyone. A huge portion drop out during the process b/c they decide they don't want to be greek, or can't see themselves in any of the houses they get invited back to, etc. Yes, there are some who end up getting dropped entirely. But that's usually b/c they weren't open minded enough about every house...and maybe didn't present themselves well at certain places they thought they were "too good for." Lesson: BE THE NICEST, MOST GENUINE VERSION OF YOURSELF TO EVERYONE YOU MEET, AT EVERY HOUSE YOU WALK INTO! Yup, some conversations are going to be super awkward. Push through it with a smile and you're maximizing your chances everywhere.
