Southern schools are much crazier when it comes to recruitment- you need recommendation letters and the competition is insane. At Cuse it isn't quite as bad, because they do increase pledge class sizes depending on the interest and number of rush signups. That being said, being dropped is still a possibility. Since Cuse does their rush second semester, and most southern schools do it in the fall right when school starts, it does give you time to prepare yourself. I'd recommend making sure you have a stronger GPA heading into rush, because a lot of houses might base cuts in first round on GPAs. Talking to and getting to know any sophomores or upperclassmen in your classes (you'll see them wearing their letters) is also a good idea because if they know who you are going into rush, it helps you stand out more amongst a crowd of girls coming through the house. Snd, as others have said, keep an open mind and be yourself. You will be fine.
