It won't be good if you go into rush and the actives can automatically tell that you're self conscious. You need to be confident about yourself! There are still 3 months till rush, eat healthier and exercise. You won't have a perfect body by then, but you could maybe lose a few pounds and feel a little better about yourself by the time rush comes. You won't be the only overweight one, I promise. And there are lots of girls from the north in every house. The no connections part could be harmful, but I doubt you'll get dropped from rush all together. Just keep a really open mind and be happy with a bottom tier house if that's what it comes to! They're all great so you should be happy in any of them anyway. But really, if you were involved and have great recs and grades, then you shouldn't have a problem! If those things are bad too, then you might have something to worry about. Just go through recruitment and see what happens. There's always Alpha Phi! If formal recruitment doesn't go so well, then try to be on of the colonizing women of Alpha Phi! Good luck to you!
