Don't give up something you want just because it might be hard or your choices might be limited! If you don't really care about being in a sorority, then don't go through all this effort. But if this is something you really want, then go for it. Hit the ground running. Finish up anything you need to finish up and get all your recs in. It will be a lot more challenging for you since you are a transfer, but it isn't impossible. It happens! Don't worry about this too much because then you'll be even more nervous during rush. Be confident and outgoing. If a house likes you they aren't going to cut you just because you're a transfer. If they're kind of on the fence about you, they'll probably cut you. But don't drop out if you really want this. Just go into it with a really open mind. You will most likely get dropped by a lot of houses right off the bat. You won't have as many options as some of the freshmen. Just be happy with what you get and make the most out of it! Also, Alpha Phi will be a great option for transfers, if that's something that's for you. It's not for everyone, and it's a lot of effort, but it could be a great experience. Consider all your options and keep a really open mind! These people aren't trying to scare you, they're just warning you. It's a challenge, but you can do it.
