They try to remain neutral so they don't influence girls one way or another. It is important to them that you don't form an opinion of their sorority based on you just meeting them. They also don't want the orientation discussion centered around greek life. Remember that over half of your orientation group will have no desire to rush a sorority or fraternity. Just have fun at orientation without going overboard trying to meet actives. Trust me on this one! I met so many girls in my orientation group. One or two of them ended up in my pledge class, but most of them ended up in other sororities. We are all still good friends and I wouldn't trade our orientation experiences for anything! Remember, you will be living in the dorms for 6 weeks before rush even begins. You will need to make as many friends as possible at orientation to make these 6 weeks amazing!
