It's not easy getting from the airport to Oxford without ground transportation. You can't rent a car unless you are 25 years old so most students don't have that choice. You can call a taxi service from Oxford to come out and pick you up, but that is going to cost you $100 each way. There might be a bus, but if I remember correctly that costs about $100 each way as well. There are no shuttle services. Also, just about every student has there parents there. Personally, I don't think I would have been a Able to survive orientation without them. I would have been totally lost! If you have no choice, perhaps you can post something on your classes Facebook page to see if someone else will be arriving in Memphis at the same time and can give you a ride.
