Tiers don't matter. Being in a top tier house won't give you benefits and being in a bottom tier house won't give you any consequences. The only reason why tiers exist is because we are naturally competitive and everyone made up fake tiers that don't matter. I was guilty of this too when I was a PNM. I didn't want to be in a certain house because on here they were described as "average" and "lower tier". I ended up loving the house and I am now in it! I don't imagine myself in an other house because I love my sorority so much! You get the same experience no matter where you go and you'll end up making life time friends! To be honest, different people have different opinions on the tiers. Some say KD and DG are the same, some say AOPi is slightly above Pi Phi (and vice versa), and some say Theta is above ADPi (and vice versa). "Tiers" aren't posted on a wall in the Student Union and the Greek website because in the end no one really cares. If tiers is all you care about, you are really shallow. I hate it when a PNM ask me if my sorority is "a good one". Uhhh.... YES it is! There are no bad houses here! We raise the most money in Greek Life (that's why we're a big Greek school). You will regret not being open minded during rush because you will get dropped if you just drop "lower tier" houses because of the tiers.
